POSITION DESCRIPTION:
GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY
Plan, direct, and coordinate human resource management activities of an organization to maximize the strategic use of human resources and maintain functions such as employee compensation, recruitment, personnel policies, and regulatory compliance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Administer compensation, benefits, performance management systems, safety and recreation programs.
· Advises employees and management on the interpretation of human resources policies, programs, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations; assists management in performance management and regarding general human resources issues.
· Allocate human resources, ensuring appropriate matches between personnel.
· Analyze training needs to design employee development, language training and health and safety programs.
· Identify staff vacancies and recruit, interview and select applicants.
· Advises management in regard to employee retention efforts.
· Keeps management and staff advised of new regulations and company policies related to human resources; monitors and reports on progress toward company goals and related issues.
· Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates.
· Perform difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, firing employees, and administering disciplinary procedures.
· Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
· Plan, organize, direct, control or coordinate the personnel, training, or labor relations activities of an organization.
· Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, opportunities for promotion and employee benefits.
· Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems.
· Acts to ensure compliance with FLSA and other applicable statutes and regulations related to HR.
· Participates in payroll administration.
· Analyzes and provides advice to supervisors and managers on methods and approaches to resolve employee work problems; as directed, conducts employee counseling and disciplinary procedures.
· May participate in unemployment, wage/hour and EEOC hearings; may assist in preparation of data for OFCCP audits and Affirmative Action Plans.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
Bachelor’s Degree in an HR-related field, or Associate’s Degree and two or more years of progressively responsible HR experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the WCH.
· Must meet the requirements of at least one-year experience in general Human Resource
· Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
· Must have valid First Aid / CPR certificates.
· Must have a valid Level 1 fingerprint clearance card.
· Must have a valid AZ Driver's license.
· Must have a clean 5-year Motor Vehicle Record
· Must not have any criminal convictions within the past 10-years.
· Must not have any open or closed case with any child protective agency in any jurisdiction.
· Meet the Health and Safety requirements (in good health, TB test and a pre-employment physical).
· Ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing.
· Ability to flourish in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment with changing needs.
· Excellent organization skills and strong attention on details
· Demonstrates ability to apply reason, logic, and advanced problem-solving skills to resolve complex and/or sensitive issues.

· Knowledge of recruiting practices, techniques and sources.
· Thorough understanding of standard office procedures and practices.
· Use of personal computer and standard office productivity software, including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
· Skill in recruiting and interviewing.
· Ability to conduct counseling in routine disciplinary matters.
· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret various internal and external documents and reports.
· Ability to write reports and correspondence in a clear and concise manner.
· Planning and organizing skills.
· Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
· Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with emotional or confrontational circumstances.
