Salary: $65-75K plus bonus
We are seeking a Field Service Technician who is self-motivated, comfortable with direct customer interaction, skilled in writing technical reports, and capable of making recommendations for product improvement to the Product Development Group. The Field Service Technician will be responsible for independently assembling, commissioning, inspecting, repairing, and troubleshooting systems, both domestically and internationally.
5 years of experience in a Field Service role with decision-making responsibility
Electronics or Electrical certificate or degree
Ability to travel 70% of the time (both domestic and international travel)
Proficient in writing trip reports, return material authorizations, test reports, and corrective action reports
Highly preferred knowledge of PLCs
Ability to read, understand, and troubleshoot systems using electrical schematics
Proficient in working in a Windows environment and using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Clean driving record
No fear of heights
Experience in the use of PLCs, VFDs, data acquisition, wiring, power equipment, and industrial electricity required. Siemens, ABB, and TMEiC platform(s) experience are highly preferred.
Must currently hold or be able to obtain a valid passport (with proper documentation to travel into and outside of the United States)
Frequently interface with customers, vendors, and contractors
Support in scheduling and coordinating participation of vested parties at the site for equipment installation and commissioning
Coordinate internally to ensure timely response to customer inquiries
Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, and other automated equipment on-site and remotely
Repair equipment at customer facilities, both warranty and non-warranty claims
Conduct routine inspections of existing system installations
Ensure correct implementation of pre-commissioning activities and quality of work
Travel to customer sites to perform final commissioning and demonstrate equipment functions
Support project team in clearing punch list items and meeting project requirements
Participate in project and construction meetings as required
Provide technical training to end-user operators and maintenance personnel
Provide on-site troubleshooting and support for technical issues
Independently coordinate site visits and travel arrangements
Provide direct technical support for testing and field service activities
Salary: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00
