Students at the Academy experience integrated learning within the framework of a balanced curriculum of the arts, humanities, and sciences. The Academy leverages the region's scientific, medical, academic, and business assets to engage students directly with practicing professionals. Students gain exposure to various industries through speakers, internships, field experiences, and other opportunities that prepare them for real-world living and working. The result is an inquiry-based, individualized learning experience that positions students to succeed in many career fields. The Academy does not seek only to produce future mathematicians, engineers, doctors, and scientists. The Academy's curriculum follows best practices in Problem/Project-Based Learning (PBL), Mastery Performance, Restorative Practices, and 21st-century skills.
