An ideal candidate will be personable and able to build rapport with clients, providers, and prospective clients while working collaboratively with senior management and colleagues across departments. As a member of our team, they should be confident in their subject matter expertise, as demonstrated by their keen ability to interpret rulings related to transactional, regulatory, clinical, finance, tax, and operational matters, as well as clinical, litigation, and enforcement areas. The goal is to offer legally compliant services that benefit client needs.
Duties:
- Audit, Inspection, and Claims Investigation Defenses
- Healthcare Fraud and Abuse
- Anti-Kickback Statue Violations
- Medicaid and Medicare compliance
- Protect Health Information
- Reimbursement and Licensing Issues
- Drafting, review, and interpretation of contracts; vendor, professional, and entity
- Reviewing contract terms, conditions, and stipulations to ensure they comply with federal regulations.
- Reviewing and revising contracts to identify potential risks or issues and taking action to mitigate risk.
- Review proposals for new contracts to ensure they meet company content and format standards.
- Monitoring case laws and new rules and regulations that could affect a company’s ability to perform its obligations under a contract.
- Preparing contract spreadsheets to assist with tracking the same.
Requirements:
- A graduate of an accredited law school ranked in the top one-half of the class.
- Texas State Board License or within six months of receiving it.
- A minimum of two years experience working as a transactional / healthcare attorney in a law firm.
