Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Merchant to join our Merchandising team. As such, you will be accountable for the business results of assigned product categories. You will directly manage the performance of the product portfolio including driving sales and margin improvements and creating best-in-class customer experiences. You will work closely with our merchandisers to maximize the margins and the net profit for assigned products through multiple strategies including online promotion events, content marketing, sales forecasting, and market analysis. You will also find the gaps in the current product assortment, identify issues with the current assortment, and participate in future product development.
WHAT DOES THIS ROLE INVOLVE?
Essential Job Duties:
- Proactively work with merchandisers to create and coordinate online promotion events including content and pricing set to enhance overall sales performance.
- Communicate and work closely with the marketing team and other departments on all product launch events, item specifications, and continued follow-up.
- Prepare competitive analysis reports and performance measurement reports for different categories.
- Stay on top of e-commerce trends and deliver new ideas to the team.
- Develop customer-facing category presentations complete with actionable recommendations such as: - Incorporating multiple data sources - Integrating customer shopper research - Market and industry trends - Competitive review o promotion Analysis - Pricing Analysis.
- Other duties as assigned by department supervisor, manager, and/or executive management.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR IN A CANDIDATE?
Experience and Education Requirements:
- Generally requires minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as an Associate Merchant, Assistant Buyer in furniture, apparel or related experience in e-commerce.
- Bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
- Bilingual in Mandarin is a big plus, but not required
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required
- Must be process-oriented with the ability to think both strategically and tactically with strong attention to detail.
- Must be creative with strong analytical skills.
- Must have solid organizational skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines.
- Must be proficient with Excel (i.e. creating advanced formulas, index matching, and pivot tables).
- Must have solid communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be a team player as this is a very collaborative position.
- Experience in e-commerce marketing is highly preferred.

Equipment Knowledge:
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and Outlook); intermediate-level Excel, in particular (SUM/IF functions, LOOKUPs, INDEX/MATCH, etc.)

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
Competitive Pay - The U.S. base annual salary range for this full-time position is up to $64,480. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. (Full-time is defined as regularly working 30+ hours per week.)
