Our client is looking for a shipping and receiving clerk who can manage incoming and outgoing shipments and ensure proper handling of all warehouse related
operations. This role is located in Conyers, GA.
Shipping and Receiving Clerk- Job Duties include:
- Receive all shipments, verify contents, inspect for damages and relocate to designated area
- Notify Procurement Specialist of damages, shortages or overages of vendor shipments
- Forward supporting documentation to Inventory Control Specialist
- Confer with the Production Department to coordinate production orders
- Assist Production Department with the supply of components to be installed
- Pick, pack and issue delivery notes for all orders
- Coordinate returns of damaged items/goods to customers or vendors including data entry, preparation and shipment
- Assist other departments with shipping needs and respond to shipping related questions
- Generate Bills of Lading for freight shipments and input into SAP B1
- Forward pick lists and delivery notes to Logistics and Import Specialist for processing
- Assist Project Managers and interact with freight forwarders to coordinate freight shipments if requested
- Assist purchasing specialist with administrative tasks when required
Shipping and Receiving Clerk- Requirements may include:
- Proficient English communication skills, second language would be an asset (Spanish, German)
- Computer Skills (MS Office, SAP B1, 3rd party carrier tools)
- Excellent organizational skills
- High level of detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- 2+ years in similar role
Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am- 4:30 pm
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
