Job Summary:
Visiting Angels - Upland is looking for compassionate caregivers to provide exceptional in-home care for our clients in the Upland, California area. As a caregiver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of our clients. This is a part-time, hourly position in the non-medical in-home care industry, with immediate hire available for qualified candidates.
Compensation & Benefits:
We offer competitive compensation, with an hourly rate of $20.00 paid every Friday via Direct Deposit. In addition, we provide ongoing training and support to help you excel in your role. As a caregiver, you will also have the satisfaction of making a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients every day with the opportunity to work close to home providing one-on-one care to local seniors!
Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate, personalized care to clients in their homes, following their individualized care plans
- Assist with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and transferring
- Monitor and report changes in client's health status to the appropriate individuals
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and medication reminders
- Maintain accurate and timely records of client care and activities
- Communicate effectively and collaborate with clients, their families, and our office team
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols to maintain a safe environment for our clients
Requirements:
- At least 18 years of age
- A minimum of one year of experience as a caregiver in a personal or professional setting
- Valid California driver's license, (MUST BE A CALIFORNIA DRIVERS LICENSE) a reliable vehicle, and proof of auto insurance
- Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and DMV screening
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards clients
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to perform the duties required of the role
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays when needed
- Registered Home Care Aide (HCA) – if not registered, we’ll assist you with the process!
- Proof of negative TB test -
if you need it, we’ll pay for it!
