Started in South Philadelphia in 1997, Zhang Sah is a 501c3 non-profit dedicated to educating the body, and strengthening the mind. They are the first and only fully accredited martial arts child care provider with 3 STAR 4 Pre-K programs, 11 after school programs, summer camp, career exposure for middle school and high school, and a fully licensed private school through the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Zhang Sah is one of Philadelphia's largest youth sports organizations with programming at 11 locations, 3 of which are community sites and 8 of which are in public schools across Philadelphia in South Philadelphia, North Philadelphia, West Philadelphia, and Kensington. This organization has, for decades, served the Philadelphia community and has almost exclusively worked with at-risk and economically disadvantaged youth. The Individual Giving Coordinator VISTA will be working directly with our Research & Development Team to create a sustainable, scalable, and repeatable Individual Giving Campaign to match our organization's growing needs and help secure Zhang Sah's future. Member Duties : The VISTA at Zhang Sah will be part of the 2024-2025 Up2Us Sports VISTA nationwide cohort of 41 members. The Individual Giving Coordinator VISTA will: research the current financial needs of the organization and create a tangible and informed individual funding goal; author a formal document that explains a scalable and sustainable process for individual giving; contact prospective donors in the community to test processes and collect donations to fund operating and program costs; create a formal document at the end of the VISTA term that reports on the project and talks about outcomes and improvements.
