Position Summary:
Reporting to the CEO, the CSDO is responsible for the overall fundraising, communications, and strategic development of the organization. This position is part of the Executive Team and works to further the mission through ensuring sustainable fundraising through foundations, corporations, and individuals. This position will also support the capital fundraising needs of the organization. This position, in concert with the Executive Team, will mobilize the strategic direction of the organization whether that is new geographic territories or communities to serve.
Position Details:
- Supervise the Development and Communications Departments.
- Ensure compliance with gift acceptance policies.
- Support the creation of geographic expansion plans
- Assist in the creation and implementation of communications policies and procedures
- Held direct the external brand of Business Impact NW
- Collaborate across the organization to support internal communication needs
- Ensure strong credit analysis and compliance with all loan requirements, commitment and approval conditions.
- Be an ambassador for Business Impact NW through training and speaking opportunities within CDFI industry and broader community development landscape
- Ensure reports to funders are completed on time and in compliance funding guidelines
- Work with senior leadership of the organization to support the strategic goals
- Direct outreach and engagement efforts to ensure Business Impact NW is present and visible in the community
- Work with community stakeholders to ensure Business Impact NW maintains a strong reputation within the CDFI community
- Creation of annual work plan to meet budgetary departmental goals and objectives
Minimum Qualifications:
- MA/BA or Equivalent Professional Experience of 7+ years in this field
- 7-10 years of experience in fundraising, nonprofit leadership, communications, strategic planning, and/or program management
- Minimum of 3 years of experience supervising staff
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to handle multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Reside in Washington, Oregon, Alaska or Idaho
Schedule & Location:
- 40 hours per week, 8:30am-5pm PT
- Company HQ located in Tukwila, WA
- This position is semi-remote, must be located in one of the states we serve: Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Idaho
