Scope of role
The Inventory Control Specialist processes inventory requests and maintains physical inventories; provides support to internal/external customers by gathering information and solving problems; utilizes electronic systems to monitor inventory levels, complete transactions, maintains accurate records, and completes reports.
Key Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
· Maintain and update inventory records and system to ensure accurate and timely inventory tracking
· Assess and improve flows of material through the building
· Identify, analyze, and address gaps in inventory process
· Process requests and invoices through material, inventory, and financial electronic systems; pull physical inventory as required
· Assist in periodic physical inventories
· Complete and maintain reports on inventory items
· Collect and disseminate information regarding project and work assignments
· May transfer, tag, and track inventory items
· Use Global Shop system to manage inventory
· Oversee electronic inventory and ERP systems
· Monitor and administer physical inventories and ensure accuracy to meet customer demands
· Monitor inventories for quality and resolve problems
· Responsible for transferring, tagging, and tracking inventory items and preparing various inventory reports
· Collaborate with staff to ensure materials are available for project work order completion
· Ensure appropriate accounting of all items
· Maintain accurate records for projects
· Coordinate all storage materials
· Manages Inventory and processes
· Conducts Daily Cycle Counts
· Reconciles Cycle Counts vs. System inventories
· Conducts root cause analysis on all inventory discrepancies
· Manage excess and aging inventory
· Coordinates proper disposition of excess and aging inventory
· Oversees reconciliation of Material Traceability Certification and any other material specify documentation.
· Assists in Unloading, Inspecting and Receiving of incoming materials. Reconciles information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment.
-Assists in Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel.
· Assists in Processing return shipments to Vendors and Customers orders.
- Prepares bills of lading; checks items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Inventory control experience
· Shipping and Receiving experience
· Knowledge of inventory control software and order processing systems
· Proficiency with Excel, Word and Outlook is required
· Forklift certification or ability to become forklift certified
· Working knowledge of basic manufacturing parts and processes
Interpersonal, Leadership, and Technical Skills
· Organization Skills
· Excellent communications skills with stockroom, purchasing department, and outside vendors
· Proficient computer skills (excel, PowerPoint, word)

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
