Our Housing and Community Development (HCD) Division is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join the team as a Health Through Housing (HTH) Deputy Initiatives Manager, Special Projects Manager I. This position will oversee the Health Through Housing Initiative, focusing on both
operational management and strategic development to improve service delivery and stakeholder engagement. This role is pivotal in advancing the division's goals through effective
project management, stakeholder coordination, and
continuous improvement processes.
- A minimum of three years of professional experience in managing complex operations, preferably related to housing or community development.

Demonstrated ability to work in a politically sensitive environment, managing multiple stakeholders needs with attention to detail and a focus on equity.

Exceptional communication skills, capable of overseeing communications strategies and responding effectively to public and media inquiries.

Proven ability to plan, evaluate, and manage budgets and to conduct effective stakeholder trainings using adult learning principles.

A valid Driver’s License or ability to travel throughout the county as needed.

Strong organizational skills, able to create and refine internal systems to enhance operational efficiency.

Experience in leading cross-functional teams and providing professional development support to team members.

Proven experience organizing or working on union, political, community, or employee campaigns.

A solid understanding and application of equity and social justice principles in community development work.
