SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Quality Control Technician maintains the efficient operation of Quality Control Lab ensuring that all equipment is operational. He or she checks blended batches of bulk product samples for conformance to product specification. She/he utilizes the vicinity manufacturing software to facilitate production and accounting workflow. The QC tech inspects production lines to ensure finished goods and intermediates meet product specifications. Assists and contributes to any special projects that pertain to the Laboratory team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Understand proper workflow in the compounding and production areas of the plant and apply this knowledge to assure finished goods meet all relevant specifications.

Understand the coding system for packaging, labels, raw materials, intermediates and finished goods in order to maintain accurate identification of production and production components.

Learn and understand the operation of the manufacturing software and be able to create and modify production and quality documents as needed. You will use the manufacturing system to record the results of quality tests and inspections.

Inspect tank, production Line and all equipment as it relates to product approval.

Learn and understand the complete set of quality control tests used to document a product’s conformance to standards.

Proficiency in obtaining accurate test results.
-
Adjust blended batches so they will conform to product specifications when necessary.

Release conforming batches to production for further processing.

Troubleshoot non-conforming batches.
-
Inspect out-going product when required by customs or customer requirements

Investigate product quality complaints or concerns.

Accurately file and maintain laboratory and production records.
-
Maintain a safe and satisfactory work area as determined by OSHA and company guidelines and procedures.

Learn and understand the complete set of Quality Control Laboratory SOP, Good Documentation and documents used for product conformance to standard and obtain accurate results.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

High School Diploma or equivalent

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Non-climate-controlled warehouse environment with machine and production line noise

Ability to stand, walk, sit, squat, bend, and climb for long periods of time.
