Position Summary
Military transportation requires intense planning and coordination, no matter the personnel or supplies involved. As an Aircraft Loadmaster, you are responsible for properly loading, securing and escorting this vital cargo from takeoff to landing. From ensuring passengers are secured and comfortable to calculating the proper weight distribution of cargo, you’ll serve as the logistical backbone behind every transport mission.
Primary Responsibilities
- Supervise loading and unloading of cargo, vehicles and aircraft personnel.
- Coordinate correct load placement and distribution.
- Ensure that adequate restraints are in place.
- Provide for passenger comfort and safety.

Qualifications
This is an active-duty position as an Air Force Reserve officer. To be considered, you must meet the following requirements:
- High school diploma or GED with 15 college credits
- General ASVAB requirements
- Completion of the Aircrew Fundamentals course
- Courses in mathematics, computer principles, typing, speech and English are desirable.
- Physical qualification for aircrew duty
- Qualification for aviation service
- Normal depth perception
- ASVAB score of 57 on General
- Must maintain eligibility to deploy and mobilize worldwide
- Height not less than 64" or more than 77"
- Completion of a current National Agency Check, Local Agency Checks and Credit
- Completion of 7.5 weeks of Basic Military Training
- Must be between the ages of 17 and 39
