The Sales Manager is responsible for generating top line room and meeting room revenue through outside direct sales efforts and participation in the following areas:
Direct Selling: Generating new leads and revenue opportunities through direct sales efforts and prospecting including cold calls, telemarketing, on and off site appointments and networking.
Responsible for meeting and exceeding weekly sales call goals.
Account Management:
Develop and Maintain new and existing relationships to ensure long term loyalty and commitment to our hotel and continued growth from current and new demand generators.
Revenue Management:
Oversee and implement hotel revenue management strategies. Responsible for maintaining the hotel's revenue management system including rate structure, groups, inventory, and rate/date decisions and restrictions. Work closely with our Revenue Manager at BW to ensure the best Revenue Management strategy is implemented to maximize revenue. Analyze hotel's key marketing reports and develop strategies to maximize business opportunities.
Responsible for meeting or exceeding budgeted room revenue and maintaining our leading position over our competitors in the market place.
Participation in and knowledge of all optional or required Best Western Brand programs and promotions is expected.
Strategic Planning:
Develop the hotel annual Marketing Plan and targeted Key Account and Market Segment driven Action Plans. Determine the hotel needs and direct efforts to that end.
Analyze and collect data on local competition, marketplace, and key demand drivers.
Community Relations:
Maintain active involvement in the both the local community and the hotel community.
ECommerce & Social Networking:
Maintain and develop the hotel's Facebook page, website, and various social media vehicles.
Customer Service/Guest Relations:
Must possess a high level of customer service and the ability to understand the needs of both the client and the individual travelers. Assist the hotel in ensuring that guests are 100% satisfied with their hotel experience. Think out of the box and provide exceptional customer service at all times.
Requirements
We are looking for a highly motivated, outgoing, dynamic individual. The ideal candidate will have a proven record in outside sales and revenue generation. We are looking for a natural leader with strong organizational and decision making abilities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
A bachelor degree and a minimum 4 years in hotel sales experience is required.
