GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible for organizational change and continuous improvement for Manufacturing and Distribution Departments. Responsible for assisting Manufacturing and Distribution Managers produce and distribute consistently higher quality products, with shorter lead times, at reduced costs for the ultimate goal of increased customer satisfaction and Company profit. Determines the optimal methods for producing and shipping products that will ensure the company’s position as low cost producer in the market place.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Provides support to internal departments to ensure the proper equipment, materials, layout, methods and labor utilization tools are available to enable them to operate as efficiently as possible.
· Investigate, gather and analyze data associated with all plant processes and make recommendations regarding cost reduction and methods/process improvement opportunities.
· Develop cost estimates, equipment justifications, and/or formal project reports to present to management for appropriate funding.
· Responsible for monitoring and documenting current status on projects to ensure timely completion and success.
· Partner with vendors to elicit specifications price quotations for new equipment and services.
· Provide labor Management guidance/assistance through the application of engineered standards and techniques.
· Ensures that all operational areas are receiving the technical support necessary to accomplish missions
· Monitor plant assets and materials.
· Stay abreast of all skills and knowledge in areas of new technology, equipment, services and methods.
· Train and prepare associate engineers to assume projects and/or a position of higher responsibility.
· Assists with preparation and compliance with Capital Budget for facility.
· Responsible for managerial tasks including employee development, training, staffing and overall execution strategies for all reporting personnel and departments.
· Responsible for managing the overall departmental activities in the absence of Engineering Manager.

Required Education:
Required Length & Type of Experience:
· 5 to 7 years as associate and mid-level engineer
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proficient in engineering practices and procedures.
- Proficient with computer applications and related analytical systems.
- Proficient in all plant processes and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills including verbal and written.
- Proficient in training and mentoring associate and mid-level engineers.
- Proficient in project management. From inception to make-good.

Pay: $91,487.00 - $137,000.00 per year
