POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for maintaining the overall appearance and operating condition of medical and retail office buildings in Denver and surrounding areas. Perform general preventive maintenance and corrective repairs of buildings systems, equipment, and grounds. Assist in monitoring building system operations and performance; utilize several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, building controls, and HVAC.
The position requires the ability to work independently with little supervision, take initiative, be proactive, and show a desire to continually improve building systems and provide excellent customer service while communicating with the Chief Engineer and Property Manager(s). Position also requires employee to handle a dynamic work environment with competing priorities and to respond timely to emergency calls as well as be on call 24/7 in the event of a major problem.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrate ownership for responsibilities to designated properties.
- Monitor equipment and respond to alarms and emergencies and perform maintenance duties in assigned areas to ensure facility equipment and systems are functioning properly.
- Work with the Property Manager to ensure the condition of the building provides an inviting and safe work environment for tenants and guests.
- Perform installation and repairs of failed equipment and parts on utility systems according to established standards and within acceptable timeframes.
- Perform corrective maintenance duties on buildings, building systems, and equipment as assigned according to standards established by the management team and consistent with corporate policies and procedures.
- Maintain Angus Work Order system and ensure accurate records for work orders/preventative maintenance, safety, repair/replacement of major equipment.
- Assist with diagnoses of and perform maintenance/repairs on HVAC, electrical and plumbing.
- Assist with maintaining fire and life safety standards.
- Inspect new installations and buildouts for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
- Help maintain grounds of facility or property performing such tasks as raking, sweeping, leaf blowing and trash pickup.
- Respond to tenant emergencies.
- Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by the Chief Engineer and/or Property Manager.
SKILLS:
- EMS and BMS experience preferred.
- HVAC EPA certification preferred.
- HVAC technical training or trade school background preferred.
- 5 years’ experience in a commercial office environment.
- Comfortable with technology including Microsoft Office.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel.
- Position requires the employee to have the ability to frequently be on hands and knees to reach areas difficult to access and the ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:
- High School Diploma Required
- Valid Driver’s License
- EPA Type ll or Universal
