We are currently seeking an onsite Electrical Engineer for a full-time, director hire opportunity in Canton, OH. The Electrical Engineer designs electrical controls systems in accordance with the customer’s needs by collaborating with cross-functional teams and exceed the customer’s expectations.
This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday onsite from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
Responsibilities:
- Develops engineering design plans by researching, analyzing, selecting, and applying engineering techniques and criteria involving circuit design including parameters, stability, bandwidth, and noise, parasitic effects, impedances, high-frequency behavior, filters, transformations, signals, and amplifier design.
- Performing circuit, logic, and component designs using Computer Aided Design (CAD) techniques.
- Prepare layouts, block diagrams, and schematics.
- Evaluate components, materials, and suppliers.
- Identify and resolving engineering design integration/interface issues.
- Determine and establish engineering design specifications and safety standards.
- Create detailed parts descriptions for the database.
- Build a detailed bill of material for the purchasing department so materials can be purchased correctly and timely
- Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by researching, analyzing, selecting, and applying electrical engineering concepts, approaches, techniques, and criteria, designing, and conducting research programs.
- Communicate and listen to customers to fully understand customer needs.
- Work closely with the client’s team, as well as project manager, and RSM to guarantee a quality system is designed and tested to customers specifications
- Create and install PLC & HMI programs and all other software needed to make the machine operate as required.
- Travel to customer’s site to assist in the installation or repair of the machine’s electrical system if required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree with focus on engineering or manufacturing.
- Excellent verbal and written communications to clearly communicate changes, issues and resolutions.
- Solves complex problems using a sequential system.
- Strengthens alliances with other departments to create opportunities internally and externally.
- Understands the role of the function and how it fits into meeting the goals of the department and company.
