Description
1. Supervision and Leadership: Oversee the daily activities of preschool teachers and classroom aides.
2. Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to teaching staff.
3. Conduct regular staff meetings to discuss classroom activities, goals, and concerns.
4. Assist in the recruitment, training, and evaluation of preschool staff.
5. Curriculum Management: Ensure the implementation of an age-appropriate curriculum that meets the developmental needs of children.
6. Monitor classroom activities to ensure they align with educational standards and objectives.
7. Collaborate with teachers to develop lesson plans and educational materials.
8. Compliance and Safety: Ensure the preschool complies with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding early childhood education.
9. Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children by adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
10. Conduct regular inspections of classrooms and play areas to ensure safety standards are met.
11. Use a variety of assessment methods, including observation, documentation, and informal assessments, to monitor children's progress, identify strengths and areas for growth, and make data-driven instructional decisions.
12. Establish open and ongoing communication with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on children's activities, progress, and milestones, and collaborating with families to support each child's individual needs and goals.
13. Work collaboratively with preschool teachers, support staff, and center leadership to create a cohesive and inclusive learning community, sharing ideas, resources, and best practices to enhance the overall quality of the preschool program.
14. Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with research-based practices, emerging trends, and regulations in early childhood education, and continuously strive to improve teaching effectiveness and student outcomes.
15. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior incidents, assessments, and other relevant data, and prepare progress reports, portfolios, and other documentation to communicate children's achievements and growth to parents and administrators.
