As a Maintenance Technician, we are looking for a self-starter who is highly motivated, perform preventive maintenance, and facilities activities to support Operations departmental objectives. The PM Specialist provides input and feedback refining and improving the PM system and minimizing operational downtime. Activities also include preventative maintenance duties, equipment repair and miscellaneous facilities projects. You will work in a clean, safe work environment with great benefits.
Schedule: Day Shift
Principal Responsibilities:
- Maintain training and qualifications performing the following PM tasks:
- Perform preventive maintenance for production and facility related equipment
- Ensure PM activities performed are documented per procedures
- Complete PM tasks per schedule
- Plan and execute an aggressive maintenance program to a high standard which is appropriate for an orthopedic medical device manufacturer:
- Maintain equipment in warehouse, operations and quality processing areas
- Perform facility maintenance tasks as required:
- Perform facility repairs, maintenance and upgrades
- Act as liaison with contractors performing facility repairs and maintenance
- Perform special projects as assigned to facilitate processing and warehousing needs
- Document-recording in accordance with current Ortho Development procedures and compliant to good manufacturing practices (cGMP)
- Provide weekly PM reports indicating facility/machine down time, planned maintenance, unplanned maintenance, and task list.
- On call maintenance
- Rotating schedule to be on call during holidays and off hours unplanned facility issues or maintenance
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
Experience specific to this position:
- Self-starter with initiative including self-management
- Knowledge of electro-mechanical repairs, and facilities maintenance
- Train and learn special maintenance techniques for specific equipment
- Ability to direct peers
- 5-10 years accumulative related
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Lifting 50-70 pounds
