**Job Overview:**
We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in home community care.
**Duties:**
- Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Assist with behavior management and implementation of care plan/ ISP goals
- Offer personal care assistance in a respectful and dignified manner
- Support individuals with daily living activities, including assisting some ADL
- Engage clients in meaningful activities and promote social interactions
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met
- Maintain a safe environment for clients
**Qualifications:**
- Prior experience working with people with developmental disabilities is preferred
- ***Nursing Students encouraged to apply
- Knowledge of direct support practices and principles
- Ability to provide compassionate care and support to individuals in need
- Experience in behavior management techniques is a plus
- Familiarity with home care or hospice care settings is advantageous
- Capacity to understand how to redirect negative behaviors
- Must complete state mandated DBHDD relias training within predetermined time
