JOB TITLE: Licensed Therapist
Position: Contracted $80/hr. Per Diem
Job Description:
The Licensed Therapist works directly under the supervision of the designated Director of the department who oversees primary revenue sources (Waiver, Birth to Three, Private Insurance, Medicaid). Licensed Therapist must meet qualifications of BCBA, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Supervised Psychologist, licensed social worker, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Professional Counselor.
Essential Functions:
- Works as an independent social worker, psychologist, counselor, BCBA or master’s level person in fieldwork/practicum toward licensure/certification.
- Licensed Therapist provides direct therapeutic services under their specialization to children/youth on their caseloads.
- Licensed Therapist must align with their professional code of ethics and Diversified Assessment & Therapy Services policies and procedures in providing evidenced-based person-centered therapy models.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to serve as first line of communication with families participating in various programs offered by Diversified Assessment & Therapy Services.
- Lead therapeutic team for assigned caseload that involves supervision of goal implementation by paraprofessional, participation in team meetings, parent training, paraprofessional training, data analysis, and development of treatment goals.
- Travel is required as part of job expectation.
- Knowledge of Medicaid billing codes.
- Completion of continuing education to maintain active certification within field to practice.
- Provide direct therapeutic services to participants at assigned locations: home, ICF, office, school, or telehealth.
- Completion of social histories for ICF/DD intakes for LSWs.
- Supervision of master’s level unlicensed Licensed Therapist working in CSEDW or clinic programs.
- Other duties assigned by Director of Children and Youth Services.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
Must hold a current, active license/certification in your designated scope of practice; be in fieldwork towards board certification or hold master’s degree eligible to take the boards in area of specialization.
- Comply/maintain certification through continuing education requirements from designated state or national boards.
- Current car insurance/inspection sticker/license registration on car
- CPR/Frist Aid certification
- Trauma-informed practices training
- Crisis Prevention Intervention
- Annual licensed behavior health training requirements: abuse/neglect, HIPPA and Client Rights.
- Familiarity of Applied Behavior Analysis therapy and Acceptance Commitment Training
