Job Description:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing educational groups and assisting patients that require ambulatory detox. They will provide medications as instructed by prescribers and monitor patients that are in their direct care. They assist patients with obtaining basic medical care by linking them with primary care physicians as well as community resources. The RN will also obtain an OARRS report and assist the patient with a urine drug screen for prescriber visits.
Qualifications:
Hold unrestricted nursing license in the state of Ohio Obtain a background check, drug screen, NPI and Medicaid Billing Number Demonstrates knowledge of substance use disorder and its treatment. Demonstrates a knowledge of medication assisted treatment is prefered.
Responsibilities:
Assess and monitor patients with substance use disorder
Educate patients on proper medication use and related health conditions
Evaluate patients using the Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Score (COWS)
Maintain a knowledge of ASAM's continuum of care and treatment recommendations.
Coordinate communication with MCO's regarding PA's and required documentation
Dispense and/or deliver medications per prescriber's orders
Facilitate timely review of urine drug screens and OARRS reports
Provide individual counseling and crisis intervention
Promote an efficient and welcoming environment in the medical wing of facility
Respond to all medical emergencies
Comunicate ways to improve medical safety with prescribers and Medical Director
Thoroughly document all patient encounters and maintain confidentiality of health information.

Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
