GENERAL ACTIVITY
Assists in keeping all production equipment maintained and up and running; familiar in PLC related equipment. Will set up the ink jet printer, code dater and Labelaire machines each morning and shut each machine down after production is finished. Monitors proper operation of all production equipment during operation. Performs maintenance on facility support equipment, to include refrigeration, HVAC, boiler, and air compressors.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
* Helps install new or repaired equipment.
* Dismantles defective machinery and/or equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
* Performs preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
* Diagnoses problems with machines or equipment and repairs.
* Ensures safe maintenance and operating procedures are followed.
* Performs and/or oversees all training related to the operation of production equipment.
NON-ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties as assigned.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
High school diploma, and one year of technical school in maintenance or equivalent experience
EXPERIENCE
* Minimum of two (2) years maintenance experience.
* Strong mechanical, electrical and technical ability.
* Understanding principles involved in & shows capabilities in the proper maintenance and safe operation of:
Production equipment:
Transfer pumps, filling machines, mixers, grinders, conveyors, potato peelers, and steam cookers).
Building equipment:
Cooling units, lighting systems, electrical panels, motors, & controls, boilers, air and refrigeration
compressors, ice maker, exhaust systems, etc..
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Exp. with electrical, hvac, plumbing, gauges, valves, pressure regulators, & electronic control panels.
