POSITION SUMMARY: Under supervision of Executive Coordinator, is responsible for the referral, intake and orientation process for all potential members of REN. Major responsibilities include the referral, orientation and marketing efforts are consistent with meeting the needs of referred persons. Responsible for administrative tasks to ensure all referral documents are submitted timely to REN Claims Department and maintaining protocols associated with that process; Collects and documents data for reporting requirements to Arizona Health Care Cost Containment (AHCCCS) and contracted state health plans.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitors the referral process, ensuring compliance with REN and regulatory agencies policies and procedures in the delivery of behavioral health/psychosocial rehabilitation services.

Receives all referrals, coordinates with clinical teams for information, meets and maintains contact with prospective member to ensure services can begin timely.

Works closely with REN billing department to ensure all requirements of the referral process are met.

Provides tours and orientation to prospective members; provides tours and information to interested parties such as clinical team members, family members and community stakeholders.

Identifies goals and documents progress of each member served and submits billing timely utilizing the REN software program, meeting data validation expectations.

Develops and implements specific plans that support REN’s strategic plan to promote services and increase membership; develops program goals and objectives; defines and recommends objectives; ensures programs are adequately supplied with the supports and resources required.

Refers to program management on matters requiring clarification, interpretation, or exception to policy or budget. Keeps supervisor informed as to program plans and progress. Maintains records to include required tracking and reporting, meeting deadlines for submission.

Participates in, and performs when required, clinical staff meetings, trainings, all-staff meetings and other activities as required.

Submits timely and accurate timecards, mileage and reimbursement requests.

Completes administrative tasks which may include preparing documents, copying, faxing and making/receiving REN related telephone calls.

Basic Microsoft Excel Skills are required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge of the principles of behavioral health recovery and adherence to REN’s philosophy.

Knowledge of the principles of cultural competency and adherence to its philosophy.

Knowledge of SMI diagnoses and behavioral health services delivery systems policies and procedures.

Knowledge of state behavioral health individual and agency licensure regulations and requirements.

Knowledge of state and local behavioral health resources.

Knowledge of local behavioral health providers and the structure by which they provide services, to include Provider Network Organizations (PNOs).

Ability to work effectively with others and to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.

Ability to work under pressure and address events/crises which may develop unexpectedly.

Basic Microsoft Office experience and ability.

Support member engagement with ongoing outreach and member communication.
EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

A High School Diploma/GED or higher
-
Must have Lived experience.

Completion of Peer Support Training and Peer Support Certification is preferred.

Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) credentialing, preferred not required.

A current Arizona Driver License and a current satisfactory 39-month Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Must be 21 years of age.

CPR and First Aid certifications

Tuberculosis test
