Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Accountant with a background in Accounts Payable to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the full cycle of month-end close and accounts payable, as well as performing various accounting tasks to support the financial operations of the company. This role requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable Management:

Oversee the entire accounts payable process, including the review, coding, and posting of invoices and credit card reports.

Ensure timely and accurate payment of all vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and other financial obligations.

Maintain relationships with vendors and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly.

Reconciliation and Reporting:

Perform regular reconciliations of accounts payable-related accounts.

Prepare monthly accruals and assist with month-end closing processes.

Generate and review accounts payable reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.

General Accounting Duties:

Participant with general ledger maintenance, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.

Prepare financial statements and other financial reports.

Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.

Process Improvement:

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function.

Assist in the development and maintenance of accounting policies and
procedures.

Audit and Compliance:

Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and support.

Ensure all transactions comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
-
Education: Minimum associate degree in accounting required, bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field highly valued.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience with a focus on accounts payable. Experience in a corporate or large organizational setting is preferred.

Skills:

Experience in real estate accounting preferred.

Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Proficient in property management software, Entrata Preferred.

Strong MS Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables).

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Working Conditions:

Office Environment: This position typically works in an office environment with standard office equipment. Occasional overtime may be required during peak periods.
