Major Responsibilities:
- Planning & Implementing – Manages, plans, and executes projects utilizing process improvement and project management principles
- 1)Manages and coordinates large projects with interdisciplinary teams to drive operational, strategic, and financial objectives.
- 2)Identify and remove roadblocks and barriers that hinder the progress of the effort.
- 3)Coordinate and lead improvement initiatives and transformation efforts utilizing a holistic approach and change strategies.
- 4)Collaborates with colleagues, internal and external subject matter experts to gather best practices for a respective project in healthcare.
- 5)Provides coaching to leaders, directors, managers and staff for effective project management. Motivates project team.
- 6)Serves as primary interface with key stakeholders on tasks, deliverables and issues regarding work streams.
- 7)Responsible for being a catalyst for the organizational level change effort by creating a shared need, shaping the vision, mobilizing the commitment, helping to make change last, and monitoring the progress.
- Tracking and Reporting – Responsible for creating and delivering customized project plans, project charters, presentations and updates and ensuring timely and effective deployment of implementation plans and measurable returns.
- 1)Monitors visual performance dashboards, scorecards, key performance indicators and/or other designated reports.
- 2)Responsible for conducting thorough operational assessments to determine baseline reason for action, scope, clear objectives and opportunities for project/initiative.
- 3)Responsible for conducting benchmarking analysis, reviewing evidence based best practices, and conducting comparative site interviews both internally/externally to gauge performance practice tactics. Utilizes internal and external data comparative tools to track and monitor performance.
- 4)Utilizes data to drive performance, conduct metric based analysis to identify efficiency/effectiveness maximization strategies.
- 5)Responsible for developing project plans with key stakeholders to track and monitor project performance and evaluate progress towards completion.
- 6)Collaborate with other data analytic functions/roles at ACMC to analyze data and design improvements that can be implemented.
- 7)Partner with process owner and other key resources to establish and implement sustainability plans for successful project completion.
- Communicating and Training - Ensure effective communication with key leaders and stakeholders while enhancing overall development of leadership and associates.
- 1)Prepares meeting materials for work streams including agendas, meeting minutes, action items, and project plans.
- 9)Escalate problems and barriers as needed to Chief Operating Officer.
- 2)Prepares and presents appropriate communication deliverables to organizational stakeholders inclusive of senior leadership, department leaders, and/or staff as appropriate.
- 3)Provide ongoing project management training and support to subgroup leaders and associates participating on work groups.
- 4)Responsible for effectively communicating outcomes both internally and externally, including reporting of project outcomes to leadership and stakeholders.
- 5)Proactively anticipates and responds to information needs relevant to key stakeholders. Provides timely responses to stakeholder inquiries.
- 6)Develops and executes effective communication and training plans, identifies issues and provides solution recommendations. Manages group meeting dynamics and change communication tactics midstream when something is not working
- 7)Proactively anticipates and responds to information needs relevant to key stakeholders.
- 8)Identify and help to remove barriers to progress that hinder assigned work stream initiatives
Education/Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree required 4 yrs work experience with at least 2 of those years experience in Project Management/Consulting/Process Improvement Background Perioperative healthcare experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:-
Demonstrated success leading multiple teams simultaneously to achieve results on complex projects Exceptional project management, time management, and organizational skills Expertise in one or more of the following: consulting, performance improvement, and/or project management Strong meeting facilitation skills. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to exercise mature judgment. Will own the master implementation plan and identify key interdependencies across initiatives Strong analytical skills, leadership, and team-building abilities. Excellent interpersonal skills especially with clinical leadership Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast paced and changing environment such as Perioperative Services Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills Self-directed, minimal supervision required
- Project Management Institute certification (PMP or CAPM) or Lean/Six Sigma Certification, preferred.
