Job Overview:
Join our team as a Parts Manager at our reputable dealership. As a Parts Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the procurement management, inventory control, and supply chain operations of our parts department. Your expertise in data entry, order management systems, warehouse management, demand planning, and negotiation skills will be essential to ensure the smooth flow of parts and supplies for our operations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the parts department by overseeing inventory levels, ordering parts as needed, and maintaining accurate records.
- Utilize order management systems to track orders, shipments, and deliveries efficiently.
- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing and terms for parts procurement.
- Implement effective demand planning strategies to anticipate parts needs and prevent shortages.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of parts in the warehouse for easy access and inventory control.
- Coordinate with the auto body repair team to provide necessary parts for vehicle repairs in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Parts Manager role within a diesel engine setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in procurement management, data entry, supply chain operations, and inventory control.
- Familiarity with order management systems to streamline processes.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers.
- , components and parts requirements is advantageous. Knowledge of catapillar engines is a huge plus.
- Ability to perform tasks such as demand planning and maintaining accurate records effectively.
Busy Diesel Marine Engine repair business seeking experienced candidate to fill position in parts department. Ideal candidate will have some mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, preferably Caterpillar, experience in parts department environment, and some experience with Quick books, and Cat SIS/Parts store. Good people, communication, and organization skills are needed as you will be working closely with technicians and customers. Having your own transportation and being willing to commute and arrive on time is important too. Our regular business hours are 6:30 am to 3:00 pm but you must be willing to work overtime and/or weekends when needed.
