Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Implement behavior support plans and strategies
- Monitor and document individual progress and behaviors
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Conduct functional assessments and behavior analyses
- Assist with discharge planning .
- Provide crisis intervention as needed
- Participate in staff meetings and trainings
Qualifications:
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities a minimum of 2 years
- Knowledge of behavioral principles and interventions
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with individuals, families, and team members
- Basic life support certification preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices
Skills:
- IV insertion (preferred)
- Specimen collection processing (preferred)
- Discharge planning
- Physiology knowledge
- Working with people with developmental disabilities
- Basic life support certification
- Physical examinations
