Beacon Specialized Living provides residential services to adults and teens with chronic mental health conditions which require crisis and stabilization services. The District Director position is responsible for the oversight, growth, and overall well-being of the programs within their caseload. Serving as the Designated Manager for their programs the District Director is also responsible for ensuring that their programs are compliant with 245D and other applicable rules and regulations regarding the provision of services to people with disabilities in Minnesota.
Incumbent should have direct experience working with individuals with disabilities or mental health needs in 24/7 group-home/residential setting.
An example of some of the job duties of a District Director are:
- Provide oversight, guidance, and supervision of the program managers in your assigned programs
- Ensure the implementation and oversight of services provided to the people supported as designated in their service plans
- Evaluate and coordinate intakes for the programs in your area, assist with development of person-centered program design to best meet the persons needs
- Foster a good partnership between the people you support and their team to create person-centered services that take in to consideration their wants, needs, hopes, and dreams
- Ensure compliance and best practices with State and Federal Regulations across the programs you are responsible for
- Support the program managers, therapist, and direct support staff with crisis management and problem solving as needed
- Provide on-call support to program managers
- Provide direct support as part of the staff ratio as needed
- Develop strong working relationships and networks within the disability and mental health service fields to continue to grow and find new development opportunities

Schedule: This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position. This position does require the ability to be on-call and flexibility in your schedule.
Qualifications and Skills
Required Qualifications: This position requires the ability to be deemed eligible to provide services per Minnesota background study requirements. Employees must have their own reliable vehicle and the ability to be approved to drive per company insurance requirements. This position requires the requirements for a Designated Manager as outlined in MN Statute 245D. A minimum of three years of supervisory experience in a program that provides services to people with disabilities or mental health diagnosis is required. Preferred applicants will have a four year degree in the area or Human Services or related studies. ***You MUST have at least three years of supervisory experience working in a residential or vocational setting for people with disabilities to be considered for this job.***
