Role Objective:
The Maintenance Technician will work with the Maintenance Supervisor and crew to perform maintenance and repairs on the various machines we have here at Speed. They check the performance of machinery, lubricate them, perform basic diagnostics, and test damaged machine parts to determine whether major repairs are necessary.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
- Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.
- Determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments.
_ Essential Functions_:
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to operate machinery and technical equipment.
- Must be proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical prints.
- In-depth knowledge of system maintenance.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment up to 80 lbs.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations.
Work Environment/Conditions:
· Wear safety attire or protective gear daily.
- Working indoors, sometimes temperature gets hot in the summertime although following OSHA regulations.
- Often exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels.
Education:
- 1 year experience working as a maintenance technician.

Pay will commensurate with experience and technical expertise brought.
