Assistant Toddler Teacher
- Prepares and maintains a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment
- Develops positive relationships with all children and families
- Interacts with and responds to children in a way that promotes feelings of trust, security, and a sense of belonging
- Shares family-style meals; modeling manners and good nutrition
- Ensures children treat each other gently, respecting their curiosity about each other
- Models language with children; talking, singing, and reading frequently
- Cares for the child’s hygiene, including diaper changing, cleaning, feeding, changing soiled or wet clothes
- Collaborates with the school community to implement and embed culturally responsive practices into the classroom culture and curriculum
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Experience as a childcare provider
- Early Childhood college courses (preferred)
- Willingness to attend Montessori training courses (required)
- Spanish language fluency preferred (but not required)
- Background check and fingerprinting (required)
- CPR/First Aid training
- Show a dedication to our mission
