Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Concurrent Enrollment English Teacher to join our high school faculty. This position is crucial in providing rigorous academic instruction to high school students while preparing them for college-level coursework. The Concurrent Enrollment English Teacher will collaborate with both high school and college faculty to ensure seamless integration of curriculum and maintain high academic standards.
Responsibilities:
- Teach English courses that align with both high school graduation requirements and college-level expectations.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that foster critical thinking, analytical skills, and effective communication among students.
- Facilitate discussions and activities that encourage student participation and academic growth in preparation for college.
- Incorporate instructional technologies and resources to enhance student learning experiences.
- Assess student progress through assignments, exams, and other forms of evaluation, providing timely feedback to promote student success.
- Collaborate with high school and college faculty to align curriculum, ensure academic rigor, and maintain accreditation standards.
- Support and mentor students in navigating the concurrent enrollment program, offering guidance on college readiness and academic planning.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance, adhering to school and college policies.
- Participate in professional development activities to stay current with educational trends, teaching methodologies, and content knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Valid teaching license/certification in [State] for high school English.
