Job Description: Lead Maintenance Technician
Location: Greater Seattle Area, In Person, Mobile
Are you knowledgeable on home upkeep, familiar with basic plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and major appliances? Are you professional in your presentation and comfortable explaining services to customers? Do you enjoy mentoring junior employees and helping them develop their skills?
At Para Home Services, the Senior Maintenance Technician leads a team that performs maintenance services for the clients' homes in the selected service area, and offers recommendations for specialized repairs when neeeded. The Senior Maintenance Technician will also provide technical expertise and guidance to junior technicians.
This role is full time, with full benefits and regular hours. Succesful employees are eligble for increases after six months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on various aspects of residential properties, including appliances and systems.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures for each visit and task and make recommendations for improvements in the same.
- Bring a keen eye for detail and operational excellence to each job, proactively addressing potential issues in order to maintain the integrity of clients' homes.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Use systems and tools provided to maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work completed, issues identified and photo documentation of work orders using Para Home Services' systems.
- Train and mentor junior maintenance technicians, providing guidance on best practices, safety protocols, and the use of mobile technology.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and support for clients, while adhering to established service standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in a relevant field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in residential maintenance or a similar role, demonstrating proficiency in various maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems commonly found in residential properties.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Must have a reliable vehicle, valid WA state driver's license, and proof of insurance.
- Must be comfortable operating a company vehicle, with a safe place for overnight parking.
