Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to join our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and organizing medical records in accordance with established procedures.
Duties:
- Organize and manage medical records in both electronic and paper filing systems
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of patient information
- Retrieve patient records for healthcare providers, insurance companies, or patients upon request
- Enter data into electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Assist with coding and indexing of medical records
- Process release of information requests in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Experience:
- Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology and medical record systems
- Proficiency in using electronic health record software
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
