The Explorer’s Club Program Leader is responsible for planning and delivering high quality before and after school programming and summer camp programming for participants.
SIGNIFICANT JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Program shifts are 6:15-8:00am and/or 3:00-6:00pm Monday through Friday.
- Days are flexible if needed.
- Directly supervise and provide group management to a group of elementary and. middle school students
- Implement high quality programming that engages students in a variety of ways including create and implement curriculum and activities for students in an enriching and enjoyable manner
- Foster a positive environment for students using positive youth development strategies
- Provide for the general health and safety of students during programming
- Consistently communicate with families
- Build community with school faculty & staff, parents, and the community
- Ensure that Colorado Department of Human Services Child Care licensing requirements are followed
- Maintain appropriate records and provide accurate and timely information on program operations
- Work with team members to create a harmonious and efficient working environment
- Participate in at least 15 hours of professional development annually in accordance with Colorado Department of Human Services Child Care Guidelines
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have at least three months (or 460 hours) of satisfactory and verifiable work experience with school-age children in a group setting
- Must be able to become First Aid, CPR, and Universal Precautions trained within 30 days of start of employment (already certified preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week

- Castle Rock, CO 80104: Relocate before starting work (Required)
