Event Coordinator
Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating events to ensure they run smoothly and successfully. Duties:
- Plan, organize, and execute a variety of events such as conferences, weddings, corporate meetings, and social gatherings
- Coordinate all aspects of events including catering, entertainment, and decorations
- Work closely with clients to understand their event requirements and preferences
- Manage event budgets, negotiate contracts with vendors, and oversee event logistics
- Ensure all event details are meticulously planned and executed to meet or exceed client expectations
- Provide exceptional guest services before, during, and after events to ensure a positive experience for attendees
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to market events effectively
- Assist in fundraising efforts for events when necessary
Skills:
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, vendors, and team members
- Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in event planning software and tools
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality experiences
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of hotel and restaurant industry standards
- Experience in fundraising for events is a plus
