Job Overview:
Special Education Teachers at our clinic play a vital role in providing specialized educational support to individuals with neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism, ADHD, and Speech Delay. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a clinical setting where medical treatments are integrated with educational strategies to foster academic and personal growth.
Duties:
- Conduct meetings with patients and their families to assess progress and determine educational priorities.
- Collaborate with parents, healthcare professionals, and other specialists to develop individualized education programs that support students' overall development.
- Maintain accurate progress records and prepare detailed reports on patient activities.
- Establish clear learning objectives and effectively communicate them to caregivers.
- Design tailored plans for communication, monitoring, and ongoing support for patients.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with individuals with neurological disabilities in a clinical setting.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and assessing learning disorders.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching special needs students.
- Strong classroom management skills and knowledge of current special education practices.
- Familiarity with educational technology applications.
- Understanding of state, local, and federal regulations impacting special education.
