Real Estate Management Company located in Midtown Manhattan seeks a leasing Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be a team player and possess strong organizational and negotiation abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide notices to upcoming expiring tenants.
- Receive, screen and respond to incoming tenant, applicant and other calls, record such calls, prioritize, provide alert messages accordingly and make sure they are responded to timely.
- Monitor upcoming lease expirations and coordinate with Residential Leasing Manager on renewal strategy unit-by-unit.
- Contact tenants for lease renewal.
- Proactively follow up on all leasing applications and monitor turnover time goals
- Negotiate rent increase.
- Communicate with brokers regarding upcoming vacancies and current listing.
- Prepare and implement lease agreements, maintain organized leasing documentation.
- Receive and record deposits and rent payments accurately.
- Assure that the vacant unit is ready for occupancy including that all keys are working properly, follow up with the property managements.
Provide support to the property management team as necessary
- Facilitate successful lease signings with brokers and/or approved prospective tenants.
- Communicate with the legal department regarding tenant lease renewal issues.
- Enter new lease information to the property management software including charges and tenant information.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to handle difficult conversations professionally
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Administrative skills with attention to detail
This is a full-time in office position.
