R&D Engineer - Software & Instrumentation
LOCATION: Mount Vernon, OH, USA
Ariel is looking for a R&D Engineer to join our Research and Development team. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding test development and analyzing the results for our Ariel Smart Compressor (ASC). The Ariel Smart Compressor combines mechanical, electrical, and digital capabilities on a platform that monitors the performance of our world-class compressors. Combining your mechanical savvy, software development skills, and hardware knowledge, you would be responsible for ensuring validity and functionality of the ASC unit for any updates, enhancements, or changes to the overall system. In the position you would serve as the technical resource for data processing technologies within ASC, technical documentation surrounding the unit, and test these changes for field readiness.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or other related engineering field of study is required
1-3 years previous experience serving as an engineering resource supporting software and/or hardware, or mechanically related equipment
Advanced knowledge of conducting technical investigations and validation of proposed new designs and improvements under variable conditions and scenarios
Demonstrated ability to develop engineering test specifications and create test plans with objectives, equipment, methods, and instruments
Strong analytical skills with advanced knowledge of data processing, analysis, and integration and data reporting
Advanced computer skills and understanding of Microsoft Office programs required
Strong ability to foster business relationships with internal and external customers
