The Position:
The Infusion Nurse provides primary patient care for specifically assigned patients to include assessments, care planning, evaluation and education of patients receiving infusion therapy and/or other nursing services in accordance with the best practices from an infusion center setting.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in the initial build of an in-office infusion suite
- An expert in the various treatments, disease states and protocols that Thrive Health is focused on and has created
- Patient chart review and calculate weight-based dosing
- Ability to run and monitor multiple infusions simultaneously
- Provide the majority, if not all the direct care for all specifically assigned patients including initiation and maintenance of all communications with appropriate care team members
- Appropriately administer treatment for patients and complete/ upload infusion records into internal systems
- Conduct specific tests for patients as it pertains to our treatment protocol (pregnancy glucose, audiology, etc)
Schedule:
- Candidate must be available to work a minimum of 12-16 hours per month
- At launch will be 2 days per month and goal would be 1 day per week
Requirements
- Excellent IV skills
- RN Degree, BSN Preferred
- Minimum 3 years nursing experience with background in infusion therapy
- Current nursing license for applicable state
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
