A. Design & Localization of New Hyperscale Data Centers
- Assist in the technical development of electrical systems for hyperscale data centers, including campus planning, layout arrangements, single line diagrams, SCCAF, and calculations.
- Aid in the technical development of site primary substations.
- Review internal specifications and vendor compliance statements (CDE).
- Oversee and direct A/E design consultants according to established engineering standards.
- Peer review A/E design consultants’ deliverables, such as drawing sets, specifications, sequence of operations, calculations, and models, providing comments and resolutions per engineering standards.
- Identify and advise on potential value engineering opportunities.
- Create rapid conceptual sketches using CAD or BIM for internal visualization and spatial/dimensional validations.
B. Support for Apex Data Center Operations
- Occasionally lead projects and resolve electrical issues, outages, fleetwide improvements, and other needs in existing Apex Data Center campuses as an Execution Engineering representative.
- Evaluate post-mortem reports and root cause analyses, offering comments and recommendations.
- Generate solutions and improvements with a fleetwide impact to enhance the reliability and availability of critical infrastructure.
- Analyze operational trends and data analytics to evaluate equipment health, remaining useful life, and predictive failure models.
- Collaborate with partners in construction, design, and change management to address and prioritize construction-originated engineering issues for standard design and product improvements.
