Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement inventory management strategies and procedures
- Oversee the entire inventory process, including ordering, receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products
- Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to forecast demand and ensure adequate stock levels
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts and excess inventory
- Monitor inventory accuracy and conduct regular cycle counts and audits
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement in inventory management
- Optimize warehouse layout and organization for efficient materials handling
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in a production environment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Proficiency in using inventory management software systems (MRP systems); NetSuite preferred
- Knowledge of demand planning principles and techniques
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers
- Familiarity with data visualization tools for reporting purposes
