We are seeking qualified DSP candidates for an in-home, direct care position working with a friendly and outgoing man in his mid 20’s who loves to be physically active and stay busy. He enjoys a variety of activities and sports including basketball, bowling, mini golf, the gym, going to the batting cages, shopping at the mall, and going out to eat. An average day for him is one that is scheduled and full of things to do. Be prepared to be actively engaged and on the go!
The job location is a private residence in Lafayette Hill. We are looking for staff for three days per week to start for a total of 15-20 hours. The schedule is Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 10am-3pm. Additional evening and Saturday hours may be available in the future for the right fit.
In addition to supporting activities of daily life, other supports may include: prompting through tasks, supporting his independence, problem solving,
ensuring safety, companionship, community engagement, and driving him to go do different activities and explore the community.

Experienced Caregiver Will:
- Be responsible for the supervision, safety, and welfare of the individual at all times.
- Be responsible for establishing and maintaining a productive daily activity pattern by consistently facilitating the individual’s individual support plan (ISP).
- Provide assistance and/or supervision to the individual in the areas of community and social integration, healthcare management.
- Serve as a member of the team for the development of ISP. Give feedback on an individual's performance in accomplishing goals and objectives of the ISP.
- Communicate information consistently and will be responsible for documenting incidents on appropriate forms and verbally relaying
information to the Common Law Employer.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge to assure a safe and healthy environment for the client.
- Demonstrate recognition of, and properly report suspected abuse and neglect.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
● Driver with own reliable vehicle; have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
● COVID-19 vaccinated preferred
● Direct Support Professional experience preferred
● Be ok with pets
● Clean criminal background
● Have a High School Diploma or GED; some college coursework preferred.
● Have at least 6 months experience in caregiving or work experience as a Patient Care Technician
● Be 21 years of age or older
