Key Responsibilities:
Purchasing food and beverage for the dietary department and controlling inventory.
Placing food and beverage orders for the dietary department.
Monitor inventory to make sure we always have the appropriate stock.
Organize stock by expiration date and make sure it is rotated appropriately.
Update pricing on items purchased for the dietary department.
Monitor the Disaster Supply to make sure it is stocked and dated appropriately.
Be a backup to the Supply Purchasing Agent.
Heavy lifting is a requirement of 25-75 lbs. Must be able to stand, sit and bend several times throughout the day.
Works under conditions of sudden changes in temperature when entering refrigerated areas or working around serving counters and cooking equipment.
QAPI:
Recognize your role as part of the QAPI efforts of your organization.
Attending training to build understanding and capacity to undertake QAPI work.
Carry out QAPI roles and responsibilities as assigned.
Look for and share leadership ideas for improvement in the organization.
Communicate with leadership upon witnessing a positive outcome of a QAPI project or detecting barriers preventing project success.
Support QAPI efforts both verbally and non-verbally (i.e., via actions and attitude), including adjusting performance and practice in accordance with QAPI initiatives and findings.
High School graduate or equivalent of a G.E.D.
Must be able to use and understand Excel.
