Easterseals Academy is a therapeutic school that provides schooling for children with an autism spectrum disorder, emotional disability, developmental delay, or intellectual disability. School districts refer students to Easterseals Academy where the schools provide an alternative school placement for these students to help them to achieve independence. Easterseals Academy has three campuses, located in Chicago, Machesney Park, and Tinley Park.

The Intake and Reintegration Coordinator serves as the leader across academies in creating and guiding systems that foster an intake and reintegration process that maximizes our ability to increase student independence. The Intake and Reintegration Coordinator develops and evaluates systems to be used across programs, including independence assessment and monitoring, enrollment, district collaboration, and reintegration.
This position can operate out of any of our Academy locations:
- Easterseals Academy - Chicago Campus at 1939 W. 13th Street, Chicago 60608.
- Easterseals Academy - Machesney Park Campus at 8301 Mitchell Road, Machesney Park, IL 61115.
- Easterseals Academy - Tinley Park Campus at 17300 Ozark Avenue, Tinley Park, IL 60477.
MAJOR FUNCTIONS/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Ensure systematic intake is being implemented daily, weekly, and monthly across programs.

Track and monitor trends in the referral, intake, transition, and reintegration program and make recommendations based on these trends.

Evaluate the effectiveness of programming by monitoring student independence and make connected recommendations.

Train and coach teams to implement the identified strategies and supports.

Implement and monitor the system for opening new classrooms.

Collaborate with administrative teams to provide systematic support around new classrooms.

Develop an understanding of district program options in collaboration with district representatives to support reintegration planning.

Support schools with a root cause analysis system.

Collaborate with school district representatives to identify trends and predictions in community needs.

Resolves family, student, and district dissatisfaction by investigating concerns and recommending support.

Conduct intake observations as needed.

Attend regular intake and reintegration meetings at each school.

Train and support staff in the intake, independence monitoring, and reintegration process.

Articulate the school and agency's mission to districts, the community, and other stakeholders and solicit support in realizing the mission.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education/Certification:

Master's Degree in Education or other closely related field
Experience Required:
-
Minimum of three years experience working with individuals with disabilities with systematically increasing responsibilities.

Minimum of one year of experience in a school leadership or administrative position.
Skills/Abilities:

Ability to perform all functions necessary to obtain certification in agency required crisis prevention and intervention training, and CPR.

Technologically adept – comfort, familiarity, and ability to learn and use a variety of computer applications. Intermediate-level knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, and Excel. Ability to use internet browsers and video conferencing.

Ability to travel to other work locations and meetings/trainings, including possession of a valid driver’s license.

Possess a clear understanding of evidence-based practices used with students with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities.

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of, and ability to, develop, monitor, and evaluate curriculum, discipline plans, and supervision/safety plans.

Knowledge of effective behavior management techniques.
