Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Customer Care Manager. As a Customer Care Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a positive experience for our customers. This is a crucial role in our organization, as you will be the main point of contact for patients and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, ensuring their needs are met and concerns are addressed
- Manage and resolve customer complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate patient appointments, admissions, and discharges
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care
- Educate patients on medical procedures, treatments, and medications
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, billing, and insurance verification
Experience:
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in acute care or hospital environment
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
Reviews, manages and audits authorizations through the HHAx and those submitted through mail.
Liaises with MCOs on any authorization related matters.
Liaises with clients on eligibility updates as seen through HHAx.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations with empathy and professionalism
- Familiarity with pediatric care, emergency room protocols, and critical care is highly desired
- Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
