The Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting data analysis, reporting, and decision-making processes within the health plan. This position requires proficiency in SQL, Tableau, and other report writing tools to extract, analyze, and visualize data for various stakeholders. The Analyst will be responsible for generating reports, conducting data analysis, and providing insights to drive strategic initiatives and improve operational performance. The Analyst plays a vital role in supporting data-driven decision-making and performance improvement initiatives within the health plan. This position requires strong analytical skills, technical proficiency in SQL and Tableau, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Utilize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple databases and data sources.

Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Tableau or similar BI tools to communicate key insights and performance metrics.

Collaborate with stakeholders to define report requirements, design report templates, and ensure accuracy and completeness of data analysis.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to health plan operations, financial performance, member satisfaction, and quality outcomes.

Conduct trend analysis, variance analysis, and root cause analysis to identify patterns, trends, and areas for improvement.

Generate ad-hoc reports and analyses to support decision-making and strategic planning efforts.

Assist in the development and maintenance of data dictionaries, data models, and data validation rules to ensure data integrity and consistency.

Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance checks to identify and resolve data discrepancies or anomalies.

Collaborate with IT and data management teams to streamline data processes, optimize data storage, and improve data accessibility.

Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support strategic initiatives, process improvements, and business decisions.

Present findings, trends, and recommendations to stakeholders through written reports, presentations, and data visualization tools.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement recommendations and track outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or related field.

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence, preferably in a healthcare or managed care setting.

Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis from relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).

Experience with Tableau or similar BI tools for report development, dashboard creation, and data visualization.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.

Knowledge of healthcare operations, managed care principles, and regulatory requirements preferred.
