Job Summary:
Provide customer service and sales support to Epic Retailers and Manufacturers, focused on processing orders, maintaining data integrity, and effectively communicating and collaborating internally and externally. This position is located in the office of one of Epic’s retail partners and operates with a dual reporting relationship between the retail partner and Epic.

Core Functions:
Customer Order & Support
- Receive orders via email or EDI to be entered into proprietary systems for processing.
- Process customer orders and finalize purchase orders.
- Communicate with clients as necessary to ensure accurate and timely delivery of orders.
- Validate customer, pricing, and promotional data during order entry process.
- Provide purchase order information to Epic accounting team as requested.
- Manage, process, and reconcile claims and deductions in a timely manner to keep clients trade financial statements current.
- Track and inform customers of item forecasts for upcoming promotions.
Sales Administration & Support
- Maintain promotional planner data integrity
- Enter promotional planning information into both customer and vendor proprietary systems
- Process paperwork for new items in various proprietary systems
- Submit check requests for vendors.
Reporting & Recordkeeping
- Maintain proprietary databases relating to pricing, promotions, etc.
- Maintain accurate data specific to order revisions, order date changes, product shortages, or other items relating to the life cycle of a purchase order.
- Create ad hoc sales reports, as needed to support the business.
- Maintain databases of customer and sales records for business use.
Other Administrative Duties
- Timely communication requirements including email and telephone.
- Act as a liaison between vendors, buyers, and Epic key account managers.
- Attend and participate in all scheduled company meetings.
- Other duties as required.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of Customer Service experience required.
- 2+ years of experience in retail (food & beverage specific) or food brokerage industry preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting – 80% of the time.
- Ability to change positions between sitting, squatting, standing and kneeling on an occasional basis.
- Occasional lifting and moving up to 10 pounds from one location to another, sometimes several feet away from each other.
- Regular use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to see objects, information on computer screens, and/or view written information, from distances of 20-40 feet.
- The employee frequently is required to communicate with co-workers and/or customers and must be able to accurately exchange information.
Tools and Equipment:
- Regular operation of computers and technological tools.
- Microsoft Office Suite
Work Environment:
- Duties are typically performed in an office environment with moderate noise.
- Hazards are only those presented in a normal office environment.
