AP Professionals is partnering with a local leading manufacturing company specializing in precision components and assemblies that is searching for a CNC Programmer to join their team! This role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing CNC programs for lathes and mills. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CNC machinery, programming, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues to ensure efficient and accurate production processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and write CNC programs for lathes and mills based on engineering drawings and specifications.
- Set up and operate CNC machines to ensure proper functioning and quality output.
- Optimize CNC programs to improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and minimize waste.
- Conduct first article inspections and make necessary adjustments to programs.
- Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and other team members to resolve production issues and improve processes.
- Maintain and update CNC programming documentation and files.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC machinery.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized work environment.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in CNC technology and programming techniques.
EDUCATION
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in CNC programming preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC Programmer with a focus on lathes; experience with mills is a plus.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS
- Proficiency in CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code, M-code).
- Strong knowledge of CNC machine operations, tooling, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
