We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join our team in Orange, CA. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of fire alarm systems, a strong commitment to safety, and a track record of excellence in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. As a Senior Fire Alarm Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and functionality of fire alarm systems for our clients. Applicants for this position should have their level I, II, or III NICET certification, which requires prior experience. You should also be knowledgeable about NFPA standards, including NFPA 70 and 72.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Install, program, test, and maintain fire alarm systems in compliance with local and national codes, manufacturer specifications, and industry standards.

Diagnose and repair faults or malfunctions in fire alarm systems, ensuring efficient and effective resolution of issues.

Complete detailed inspection reports, documenting any issues

Stay up-to-date with local and national fire codes and regulations to ensure systems are in full compliance.

Interact professionally with clients, addressing their concerns, and providing excellent Be on-call for emergency service calls and respond promptly to resolve critical issues.

Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines while working with fire alarm systems, ensuring the safety of oneself and others.
Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED certificate
-
Minimum of 6 years of experience in fire alarm system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting

Knowledge of NFPA standards a plus (including 70 and 72)

Proficient in programming and configuring various fire alarm system brands and models. Familiarity with low-voltage electrical systems is a plus.

Experience with commercial and residential systems

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.

Troubleshooting skills
-
Ability to work on ladders and lift up to 50 lbs.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications:

NICET certification preferred (requires prior experience or training)

Experience with fire panels, Potter, AutoCall, Notifier, Silent Knight, FireLite, EMC and Bosch
Compensation:
$30.00 - $40.00 hourly
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to stand for 8 hours, walk, sit, and climb stairs, or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee will need to be able to withstand working in temperatures that may exceed 100 degrees. The employee will need to have the ability to walk in excess of 1 mile in a day.
